We are all aware of some of the which can lead to a long and happy life, for example, eating healthy, reducing the intake of alcohol, getting rid of cigarettes and engaging in regular exercises. But staying motivated and sticking to a healthy regime and a fitness schedule is not easy.

Stick to a regular meal time. The earlier the meal time, the better. Have lunch between 12.30 and 1.00pm, and dinner between 6 and 6.30 pm. Try to have you lunch between 12.30 and 1.00 pm and have dinner 6 to 6.30 pm. Meal times should be as follows, lunch between 12.30 and 1.00 pm, while dinner between 6 pm to 6.30 pm. Studies show that eating late promotes growth of a fat called triglyceride in your blood. Unused calories will be converted to triglyceride which increases the risk of stroke and heart attacks. Eating early will enable you to burn off the consumed calories.
The whole family should be present during every meal time. This will enable you to talk about your days. It also helps to regulate the eating speed. By sitting down and relaxing during a meal, you will be aware of the foods you put in your mouth. Additionally, your body will have enough time to communicate with your brain when you are full and digest the consumed food.
It is not good to have a high pile of food on your plate. The right portion is enough. If you feel short changed during meal times, use a smaller plate. The volume of the food will have reduced although visually it will appear the same. This way you will be satisfied with what you get.
You need to have a good attitude and mindset about food and fitness in order to succeed. Use various methods to assist you along the way as you use mind trick with the small serving plate or play with your perception of the serving you get.
You must understand and accept that while you can eat what you want, whenever you want, you also have the option of being fit and healthier and stay disciplined. You have to understand that every little snack matters. You may think that having cake crumbs with little calories is okay, but the bottom line is that you are giving in to the habit.
It is not easy to remain motivated or stick to a fitness plan. Scheduling fitness in a busy life is very hard. Family and work are among the top priorities. Write down the advantages of exercise, what you want to get from it and how you feel about it. Set goals which are achievable to be motivated.
